| Another year has come and gone,
faster it would seem, than any previous one, and we would like to
slow down for a moment to wish all our friends, clients and partners
a wonderful festive season and flourishing 2008. For your loyal
support we say a big thank you. As we take leave of an exciting 2007
we look forward to a continued relationship with you in 2008. To Infinity and Beyond Yes, it's been ten years since we formed Maxitec and we want to thank every one of our clients that supported us during these ten years. It's been an exciting ten years and we know the next ten is going to be even better. It's been a busy year for Maxitec. New Broadband products have dominated the year, we started providing all inclusive broadband packages made possible by Telkom giving us access to their infrastructure. This has enabled us to further reduce the cost of broadband access with all inclusive packages starting at R209 per month. We also obtained a cellular dealership via the Vodacom network which has enabled us to provide 3G, HSDPA and iBurst mobile wireless solutions. The next year will see us evolve into a communications service provider as we add voice services to our basket of services. This Years Big Thing - The Need for Speed If you do not yet have Broadband read on because it may save you not only money but that priceless commodity, time. Broadband access allows you to be connected to the Internet all the time, at speeds which are tens of times faster than dialup. If you spend more than R120 a month on Internet calls you should convert to broadband. As
part of our social responsibility program, we recently became
involved with the Zwelihle Art Cooperative. The cooperative was
established by Zwelihle residents, including Zolile Baleni (the
Whale Crier) who want to develop their talents and create a
sustainable business by selling their art to locals and tourists. We
have already registered a domain on behalf of the cooperative,
donated a computer to the chairman, Ivan and installed the first
ADSL line in Zwelihle. In future, we will setup a website that will
be updated by members of the cooperative and will allow them to
offer their art to a wider audience. Please look out for more news
